Hi! I'm Lauren Kim.

Darling Doodle has lived in my heart for ages. I'm currently a second grade teacher in Los Altos with a deep passion for teaching and art. As a former preschool and kindergarten teacher, I've always believed in the power of creative learning. Back then, I'd often say, "we make big messes, and then we clean them up..." I love setting up invitations to create for the tiny humans.

Growing up, I was that child who loved to touch wet paint, play with glitter and glue, and create endlessly. Whenever I'd get an exciting art kit or a messy glitter tube, my mom would laugh and say, "Save that for your grandma's house." While my grandma's house remains a creative haven for me to this day, Darling Doodle is my dream of bringing that magical, uninhibited creativity to you – without the stress or mess. 

My background includes teaching at Teachers College and teaching other teachers. I loved my time at Columbia working with the tall humans but my true love is connecting with the tiny humans through process art. "Doodle" was my childhood nickname, making this venture feel like a beautiful full-circle moment. I can't wait to connect with your tiny human and explore, create, and play together!
